I’ve gushed before about sought after New York party planner Amy Atlas. A quick peek at the drool-worthy creations on her website Amy Atlas Events will tell you that this lady knows a whole whack about throwing awesome parties!
Amy dishes up such ridiculously gorgeous things on her blog Sweet Designs that I simply couldn’t resist posting about her again.
These super cute bee theme party pics are not, in fact, Amy’s, but were sent to her by another event planner; Mary of Very Merry Events. Apparently Mary (who btw is the youngest of 10!) created the bee-autiful affair for her son’s baptism. I simply had to share some of her clever ideas…
Stringing foties along with pegs is such a good idea don’t you think? (a good one to use for any party theme).
Great use of bright yellow flowers – so cheery and, well, buzzy! Don’t you just lurv the bumblebee cake (centre)?
Mmm, lots of lovely honey. I’m guessing Winnie the Pooh would’ve rsvp’d pronto to this party…
Popcorn that pops with colour.
You gotta love tissue paper poms. These ones do a great job of tying in the bee theme with the bright yellow flowers.
I like the idea of having a juice ‘bar’ that’s separate from the food. Also think the spotted yellow paper (lining) is such a win.
Needless to say the ‘do must’ve been a hive of deliriously happy activity.
Amy offers this valuable tip to would-be bee bash planners:
Paper Tip
“This is a small but good practical tip… if you are using paper to decorate trays like Mary did above, then either line the paper with a piece of lucite or make sure your paper is coated. You don’t want your drinks to sweat on the paper because then your beautiful paper will be messy. Just a tip since I’ve been there done that.”
