Oh, So Clever Circus Party Inspiration

I discovered this completely delicious circus party theme by Sandy from The Winding Road on one of my fave blogs, Modern Kiddo. I simply had to share it. Take a look at these gorgeous images and you’ll see why…

Sandy held a joint circus party for her five-year-old daughter, Laura and one-year-old son, Jacob (the other little girl in the pictures is Sandy’s other daughter, Anna).

“We placed the letters on the wood and traced them. We then removed the letters and drilled holes into the wood. We placed the letters back on and added Christmas lights from the back. The holes in the wood and in the backside of the letters were larger than those in the front as the lights needed to go all the way through the wood and into the letter but only the tip of the light showed through the letter. We used hot glue to adhere the letters to the wood and duct tape to hold the lights in place!”

circus-party-theme3Here are those zany polka dots again. Sandy set up a photo shoot with a simple dotty backdrop and a few circus-themed props. How super cool are these moustaches?

circus-party-theme4Sandy is one clever lady! I think her vintage take on the popular circus party theme is sensational – so unique, without a clown in sight.
