I always poo-hoo people’s fascination with celebrity culture, but secretly I’m a bit of an addict myself. There, I’ve said it.
Schlebs intrigue me.
Gwyneth Paltrow’s blog Goop, for example, is kind of fascinating. While I can’t profess to be enamoured by her vegan cupcakes, I’m quite taken with her ‘SEE‘ category and, more specifically, the snap shots of her recently rented apartment in downtown Nashville.
Interior designer Annette Joseph transformed Gwynie’s temporary digs (to be used for the family only while she was filming in in that part of the world) into, according to the A-list actress, “A cozy, light-filled space”.
As y’all know I’m on the lookout for shared bedroom ideas for my own two tots and thought these pics of Apple and Moses’ room (Gywnie’s kids, for the unenlightened few) sort of fits the brief.
I love the chalkboard wall idea – it’s especially cool for kids (pssst! I’m planning a chalkboard paint DIY project myself soon so watch this space). I’m not sold on the bunkbed, though (visions of Little Miss Brave parachuting off the top are just too vivid for moi).
I do like the convertible couch and round kids’ table and chairs. The textured carpet looks inviting, too. Gwynie’s colour palette is a bit muted for my own personal taste, but think that her kids must love spending time here. Frankly I think it’s a much more laid-back space to Apple’s first bedroom (below), don’t you?
