Shapes That Roll by Karen Nagel and Steve Wilson

Here’s a bookshelf gem!

“Shapes that roll. Shapes that can’t. Shapes whose sides go on a slant. Some shapes stack. Some shapes don’t. Watch out! Eggs and balls are shapes that won’t.”

Shapes That Roll is a colourful tome that appeals to me on many different levels: visually and lyrically.

Bright, bold and beautifully illustrated by Steve Wilson (who also illustrated Lines That Wiggle), its rhythmic verse will have you tapping your toes and laughing out loud at the same time.

The book humorously explores the different properties of shapes and features a glossary of shapes at the back.

Seriously, it’s a feast of fun your kids will love!

You can buy Shapes That Roll and Lines That Wiggle on Kalahari.
