With two weeks of school holidays left, I thought this vacation memory jar would be a good way to keep kiddies entertained (for a wee bit!).
I discovered the idea via the ever-crafty Martha Stewart website.
Simply fill glass jars (the bigger the better) with souvenirs collected on trips. Include photographs, keepsakes such as ticket stubs and momentos from nature.
The beauty of these little worlds? Kids can ‘re-visit’ them long after the holiday is over and even rearrange them as they deem fit.
Any glass jar will do the trick (recycled mayo or coffee jars, for example). I’m a big fan of Consol bottles and jars. I think they’d be great for this project. Visit Consol online or contact a store directly.
