How to Up-Cycle Crayons

Hallelujah! I’ve finally found a way to use up all the half-chewed (courtesy of Betty), discarded crayons that somehow manage to find themselves into every room in our house.

What to do?

Give those lack lustre Crayolas a new lease on life by up-cyling them.

Huh?

It’s simple, really.

Good as new (and much more fun!)

Gather all the broken (rejected!) wax crayons you can find. Prep a muffin tin with Spray n Cook (or the like) for safe measure and follow these four super easy steps:

Step one: Pre-heat oven to 180 degrees.

Step two: Remove paper and break crayons up into small pieces. Fill muffin cups to the top.

Step three: Leave to melt in oven for approximately 15 minutes.

Step four: Allow crayon ‘muffins’ to cool completely before you place tin in fridge or freezer (don’t jump the gun here because they’ll crack if you fridge them too soon).

Ta dah! Giant tie-dye crayons little artists will love.
