Woo-men Are Just Plain Wonderful

If you haven’t seen or heard of Woo-men then you’re missing out for sure!

I stumbled upon a few at a shop last week. Bright, fun and super quirky I was drawn to them like a bee to honey. My kids too!

I’ve since discovered that each of the 14 characters that make up the Woo-men range has its own, unique character. Created by multi-talented husband-and-wife team Elaine and Pete Woo, who both have illustrious backgrounds in design (Elaine in craft and sculpture and Pete in comic illustration and caricature), it’s not surprising they’re so gobsmackingly cute.

Four of my favourites

Woohoo! Woo-men are available countrywide

Woo-men are handmade in South Africa and retail for about R180 to R200 for the regular size (approximately 23 cm), and R380 to R420 for the large size (approximately 72 cm).

For more information on stockists and where you can buy them online visit the Woo-men website and blog.

Be sure to check out the South African range and Kawoo (free range friends) collection , too.

They’re woo-wonderful. I’m completely smitten!

Hi Vanessa, thanks for posting about Woo-men! I love the way like minds find each other via blogging! Do you know Clever Little Monkey? Its a very stylish local kid’s online shop. People can order Woo-men from their site and choose the colours they want for the different parts of the toy, which is quite cool! Here’s the link: http://www.cleverlittlemonkey.co.za/catalog/98/woomen
