Rummaging through the school lost property box is so 2009! Kick off this year on the right (labelled) foot with Labels Inc.
Run by two friends, Karen Kaimowitz and Lauren Cohn, who met eight years ago while they were pregnant, Labels Inc was created soon after their babies were born. ‘Neither of us was ready to go back to fulltime employment and we wanted to work on something that would keep us a little busy,’ explains Lauren.
Almost a decade later Labels Inc is an established business that Lauren says has gone from strength to strength. ‘Our most popular products are definitely our gift labels showcasing our wonderful stick figures, faces and symbols. This time of year everyone is looking to mark their school products, so our stationery, property and clothing labels are extremely popular, too.’
Cute vinyl icons
As much as I love the convenience of using a permanent marker to name lunch boxes and bottles, it really doesn’t have much post-dishwasher staying power. Labels Inc vinyl stickers, however, do. I’ve ordered a set that displays my child’s name alongside her chosen icon.
I’m also going the iron-on name tag route this year and have ordered a batch of fabric labels too. So organised!
